I have always drawn and painted from earliest memory.

I began serious painting in watercolors in wild colors. I studied art at UCLA, and following that, sought private studies in classic traditional Renaissance painting techniques, including tone painting and glazing.

This taught a huge respect for the art of drawing and also taught me to consider painting an extension of that, in effect drawing with a brush.

After working in limited palette, I rediscovered pure color, and the images have not been the same since. I am currently working on urban abandoned, a series of abstract textured canvases inspired by the visceral impact of abandoned structures, and a series of California sunsets. These are colors as they mix at the surface of the mind.

A catalog of works is on line here. I work in acrylics and oils on canvas, using brush and painting knives and airbrush. Original work and prints are available in the studio shop. Thank you for looking.
